Peer Mentor

$17/hour, up to 10 hours/week

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate virtual or in-person self-advocacy classroom sessions with people with I/DD looking to learn new skills.
  • Schedule and plan peer mentor sessions.
  • Provide documentation on all training sessions in a timely manner.
  • Complete all necessary applications, intake reports and case notes in a timely manner.
  • Work with people with I/DD one-on-one to provide social support and learn self-advocacy and soft skills.

Requirements

  • Communication, organization, & interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Passion for self-advocacy/disability rights and a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility
  • Ability to teach soft skills and self-advocacy
  • Reliable transportation

**This position requires travel.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or advocating for individuals with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of accessible communication tools and platforms.
